Ellington Fridays this week and more...

Call it rockabilly, call it alt country, call it roots rock. Whatever you call it, Bovine Mafia plays it and they play it good. It will make you dance like you were young (unless of course you are young in which case you'll just dance like usual), and don't be surprised if you experience the joy and heartache of life's great moments. Ellington Fridays begin at 5pm, music starts at 5:30, and we two-step you out the door at 8:30. You already know how good the food is.

Jazz trumpeter and vocalist Vincent Gross will be performing next Tuesday, 2/15 for the Ellington Music Bridge kids. He'll be with the Star City band. The program starts at 5:30. We'd love to have you. Admission is free to adults accompanied by children. Unaccompanied adults might want to make a contribution to the Ellington Music Bridge Project.

Bio Ritmo returns on 2/19 for their unprecedented fourth appearance in our Main Stage Series. More on Bio Ritmo next week. The show is sponsored by our good friends at Schewel Furniture and Scott Insurance. When you see folks from either of these fine establishments give them a little peck on the cheek, they deserve it.

You can get the details on these three great programs on the website.

If you're one of Dean Hall's fans you'll probably want to tune on Muzik Mafia TV Thursday night at 9:30 on CMT. Dean will be featured in this weeks episode along with Ellington Youth Jazz Ensemble alumnus Max on Sax. CMT is Lynchburg Cable 54.

See you at The Ellington.
