We are volunteers - The Ellington is managed by unpaid music lovers, so all contributions go directly to programming and operating costs.
We are affordable - Our ticket sales do not cover our operating expenses. Your donations keep the doors open.
We are diverse - The Ellington's eclectic mix of national and regional acts draws a wide audience. Our mission is to bring people together through music.
We are local - Our stage supports local musicians. In fact half of our programming features Central Virginia's best bands.

We are involved - In collaboration with Lynchburg College, the Ellington sponsors the Music Bridge program, providing music lessons to at-risk children in our community.
We are resilient - The Ellington has been in operation for more than 25 years, providing ourselves to be a permanent part of the arts scene in Central Virginia.
